The International Tuberculosis Foundation (ITF) is dedicated to controlling tuberculosis and lung disease worldwide. It is governed by a board of trustees who share this common goal. All of these trustees serve without compensation.

Currently ITF administers the Childhood Lung Health Project in the African country of Malawi. This project has been funded by a generous gift from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. ITF also supports the World Lung Health Conference which is held in Paris, France each year and attracts attendees from around the world where tuberculosis and lung health generally are major problems. This support is also funded by the Gates Foundation. The World Lung Health Conference is sponsored by the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (IUATLD)

ITF additionally provides travel grants to deserving health care professionals from poor countries or areas so that they may attend other lung health educational programs.

The International Tuberculosis Foundation has 501(C) 3 status with the United States Internal Revenue Service. Therefore gifts to the foundation are tax-deductible by the contributor.
